It is a very special grass which is fairly shade tolerant, adaptable to our climate and weather conditions. It is one of the best turf grasses for this region, used by home owners, landscapers, contractors, and designers. Zoysia provides a lush green lawn until frost.
Zoysia grass sod is great for both home and commercial properties, and is often used on golf courses and sports fields. Zoysia has beautiful color, soft texture, and great wear tolerance. It can withstand heavy to moderate foot traffic and maintain its color simultaneously.

Empire Zoysia is the premium pick for a family yard. Fine blade, premium carpet look, and excellent wear recovery from kids and pets. Palisades is the choice when shade tolerance matters more.
Measure length times width in feet. Divide by 450 to get the number of pallets. One pallet covers approximately 450 square feet.
April through September is peak. Spring through early fall lets the roots establish before any cool weather.
After the first 2 to 3 weeks (when roots have knit into soil), mow every 7 to 10 days at 1.5 to 2 inches. Never remove more than a third of the blade in one mowing.
